Delaware State University

So, being here and being around all this love is definitely needed.

And just like that, with only a few seconds left in the game, Delaware State University walked away with the win.

The final score was 36-33.

We're here at Lincoln Financial Field.

Conference season has started in the MEAC.

Delaware State, North Carolina Central.

Did you see this one coming? Delaware State losing to North Carolina Central.

The Eagles all over the Hornets.

31-12 last week, Scotty.

You have an expectation.

Trey Oliver has championship pedigree.

He came in ready with a game plan in Delaware State on the road.

That gives them several ways to produce points and protect the lead as they pursue another conference championship appearance.

And finally, North Carolina Central ended a four-game losing streak Friday with a 31-12 win at Delaware State.

Freshman running back Geno Addison led the way with 214 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries.

The Eagles finished with 427 total yards.

On defense, freshman Amari Sifford intercepted two passes.

Central improved to 3-5 overall and undefeated with a 1-0 record in the MEAC, Delaware State fell to 4-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

Now for Central, this is a chance to change the direction of his season.

The Eagles, they can't erase their earlier losses, but they sure can open up the conference with a productive running game and a win.

So I'm excited to just be a part of it to see how it all goes down.

I'm also really excited because this weekend, Delaware State University plays Norfolk State.

And last year when this game went down, a few weeks removed from homecoming, it felt like another homecoming.

So I'm excited to be able to just like run free, be with the people that I went to college with and feel that all over again because it is 100% going to feel that way.

But it's like, how do we bring community back home?

I'm really big on, well, first, thank you for the question.

I'm really big on partnerships, right? My background is in marketing with the Delaware State University, and that was what my degree was in.

And one of the things that I loved that I learned there was if you're having an issue like that, it's to find people who are already thriving in that space, right? I don't know, you know, maybe because when I think of like certain generations of people right now, I think about like, who are the voices of the leaders in that area? And then it's like you, so that's like the first entry point.

And when we come back, we have the president of your alma mater.

Delaware State University.

And we have

the president of Norfolk State.
