I thought for a while it was just lost and for- and it was never gonna arrive.

He bought me a surprise box of Uma Musume Pretty Derby, the trading card game from Cygames.

Uh, they look like they used the designs for the, uh, the, the actual cards you get inside the, the app game itself, um, the, the gacha mechanic at play here.

So yeah, neat.

Not the movies, but the anime.

Because then the movies were Cygames pictures.

which is a game that I'm cautious about, I guess I would say.

This is Where the Seeds Fall from Cygames, which is a really weird looking game where you basically start like at the top of a giant tree and you're trying to make your way.

It's like a reverse platformer.

You're trying to like platform your way down to Earth.

So it's all about very like, you know, precise jumping to make sure you can get from one level to another.

And there's lots of mechanics around like how you survive falls that are too far and aim at these very, you know, it just looks very interesting conceptually.

The thing that gives me pause, though, is that it's developed by Cygames.

who has announced, they've said that they're starting to use a lot of generative AI in some of their studios.

New content there.

Then a game called Where the Seeds Fall, which has come from Cygames.

So Cygames, I don't know if they're developed or published, but they are behind the Granblue Fantasy games.

So Where the Seeds Fall...

Kind of this small sort of game where it looks like it's all focused on verticality, where you're on this mountain trying to find safe spaces to jump as you descend the mountain.

And so sometimes you can throw stuff down and jump on it and whatever.

It was being made by this one – Cygames has a new spinoff publisher called Cygames Edge that's for small games.

Okay.

That's what that is.

a strange one.

So it's it's under Cygames has this new label that they've got Cygames Edge, I believe it's called.

And this was kind of the the lead off title.

for them if I understood it correctly but where the seeds fall I kept wanting to call it where the seeds fall it's where the seeds fall is a narrative jumping puzzle game is probably the best way to describe it where you you are kind of this character that seems to have a small childlike character with you and you are trying to descend the world tree and in the trailer they said explicitly it's like a three hour experience but after you beat the campaign you unlock extra levels and time trials and you can do all kinds of extra stuff they were like you can beat it in three hours but please don't steam refund Please, please keep playing the game, which is something that developers have to account for nowadays because that's the craziness of this world.
