Do I need to replace that person? It's not the person, it's the capabilities, the capacity.

Do I need to continue to do this function? As Credit Union 1 has grown, we've asked a lot of tough questions like, do we even need this process anymore? This process that was really, really important in finding potential fraud at a quarter of a billion dollars in asset size, have we outgrown that? Are we willing to take on a little bit more institutional risk because our loss tolerance has grown as our asset size, right? There's just so many layers to that.

So I think any smart business, whether you're a credit union or freaking any business, anytime you have those opportunities where you have somebody that's evacuating, that's leaving your organization, you should ask that tough question.

Do I need to replace that person? Can I consolidate that function? Or if it's a role that's in the AI space, making the most out of various AI tools, Replace that person with two more, three more, throw more resources at it.
