She too is headed towards a Coolmore.

So we'll have a chat to Clinton about how he's juggling these smart three-year-old sprinters and what the map looks like to get to that big race on Derby Day.

Well, that was certainly a very impressive win yesterday, and well, maybe another Coolmore contender for Clinton McDonald, uh, who joins us this morning on The Verdict Podcast.

A new French record for a yearling.

A son of Wootton Bassett, sold in Deauville, bought by Coolmore, underbid by Godolphin.

And then two and a half weeks later in Newmarket, it was a slightly different feeling at Tattersalls, as conditions weren't as buoyant as there had been at Arqana, but that is probably what we come to expect.

It's a very different sale at Somerville to where we begin at Arqana in the middle of August.

Deadly Nightshade is a Justify sister to the St Leger winner Scandinavia, and a half-sister to Above The Curve.

She comes from the Youurs So Thrilling family.

And what is so interesting is that Coolmore sold the mare at Tattersalls less than two years ago for 900,000 guineas in foal to Wootton Bassett.

Ecuyer de Monceau and Henri Bozo bought her.

Sam Freedman said yesterday on, on Giddy Up that he should be in the first four or five, so I doubt he'd be far away.

Is he a guineas horse or a Coolmore?

I think he's a guineas horse off what I saw on debut, given fast run 1200.

He's stronger than all of them late.

Um, and even assessing him as a type, it looks like he's got that scope to get over further.

So Saturday might be a key day if he comes out and brains them by three lengths, they might go, "Well, we'll go to the Coolmore." But, um, I'm hoping they go to the guineas.

I've had something on him in the guineas, so I'm sort of hoping they do go that route.

Did I hear hundreds?

Barenstown Bloodstock acquired 41 brood mares, and their foals would begin to be sold in April 1989, the following year.

Many of the stallions would be provided by Coolmore Studs, so he's making a lot of money off that as well.

And Magna was set to make a healthy profit from the deal alongside David Nagel of Barenstown Studs, based in County Wicklow.

Now, the involvement of Magna and Nagel led some to claim conflict of interest because of other investments as well.

Like, when he came out of a training center, I mean, the buzz was already, it was already pretty strong about him.

And if you ever, if you ever get the chance and you're around Lexington, Kentucky, stop in the Coolmore and, and just take a look at this beast.

I mean, he's just magnificent, and he's one of the biggest, prettiest things you'll ever see.

They were showing Super Seth for the first time.

You know, it was interesting.

You talk about types, stallions and their types.

Two horses there at Coolmore I found interesting was Storm Boy and City of Troy, both by Justify.

Storm Boy's this powerful sprinting, you know, the archetype Australian bred sprinter type.

I mean, there's two points in play here.

There's the macro point about what you're talking about, the wider tactic of the creation of the stallion, which, you know, if they do a business report at Coolmore, it isn't to win races is the number one, is it? Actually, the number one thing is to create stallions, therefore develop and strengthen the business.

So that's the macro point.
