And my name is Daniel Simons Jenkins.

I'm an assistant professor of history in the College of Social Studies at Wesleyan University.

Kind of thought of myself as a history buff as a kid.

I ended up going to Wesleyan University and studied in a program called the College of Social Studies for my undergraduate education.

And that was kind of a big books curriculum.

You know, read your Hobbes and Locke and Marx and Smith and that kind of thing.
