Colby Community College

But a good season for her as she finishes up 27 and 7, uh, this year for Ella Lynn, an underclassman too, so pretty darn good there.

Uh, and the Colby Community College volleyball won at Seward County Saturday three sets to one over the Saints.

They are 24-- 21 and 4, and have won six in a row.

Of course, I mentioned earlier, the road to state, uh, begins today for area high school volleyball teams in 2A and 3A.

Uh, not enough.

Yeah, Colby Community College, uh, will be c- will be Community College volleyball back in action on Saturday at Seward County.

Um, the Kansas City Chiefs, we talked about the Broncos and their edging of a win over Seattle.

Uh, they will be at home.

They had, had...

I mean, he come out of Colby Community College.

His second year, he was unscored on.

National champion.

[upbeat music]

Coming up tonight, Colby Community College volleyball back at home taking on Hutch.

The 19 and four Trojans, 10 and one in conference play, tied with Dodge City in first.

Uh, but when the last time these two teams played, Hutch and, uh, Hutch and Colby played, they went to five sets and Colby got the win back in September.

It is also a purple out tonight for domestic violence awareness, so you're encouraged to not wear your Trojan blue, but to wear purple tonight for, uh, the Colby Community College Lady Trojan volleyball match against Hutch.

So best of luck to the Lady Trojans, is looking for win number 20.

Mm.

My second weekend winner, I'm gonna keep it local here.

I'll give it to Colby Community College volleyball.

Uh, they sweep Barton for the whole year.

I mean, they didn't sweep this i- the, the-

They won 31-29, and then they take that, uh, they take that final set and get it done.

Uh, 20 kills from Ella Did- uh, Didri and then Isadora Carretto, 16 kills, six blocks in that comeback win.

But the, the real, the real, uh, hurdle now for Colby Community College volleyball on winning another Jayhawk Conference title is Dodge City.

Those are the two teams tied at the top of the standings.

So, uh, that's what's going on this weekend in local sports.

You got Colby Community College volleyball going to Barton, uh, looking to continue their winning ways.

Uh, tennis regionals begin today.

Uh, in McPherson is where Goodland and Colby tennis teams are competing for tennis regionals.

And then, uh, Fort Hays State and, uh, Fort Hays State Northwest, Colby Community College cross country teams running at the Fort Hays State Invite.

And Goodland goes to Lincoln for some cross country, uh, this weekend as well.

You've got, uh, some college football on Saturday.

And then at the, uh, it was Golden Plains with a sweep of Northern Valley, and Northern Valley swept Tri Plains there at the Tri Plains Tri yesterday that I saw some results from that.

And of course I mentioned Colby Community College volleyball back in action tonight taking on Garden City.

From Garden it's a 6:00 central time first serve.

Uh, they enter at 17 and 4 overall to the Trojans, 8 and 1 in conference play.

It's one of those things and getting ahead.

Like whenever I was first, when I, when I, like my first job, that actual job was at Colby community college.

And I appreciated the I'm still thankful to this day that they took a chance on me.

But when I got there, you know, we had already been a week in to Fort Hayes this season.

I think they won their own individual tournaments this previous weekend in volleyball.

Colby Community College Volleyball swept Pratt 3-0.

They have won 12 of their last 13.

They head to Garden City on Wednesday.
