This $120 Wedge Is REALLY Good?! Plus Crazy Clubs & New KBS Shafts
B
16:14Brian KnudsonHOST
Uh, I, I will say that, you know, when you, like a lot of these wedges out there now, uh, they're trying to like, you know, get that CG way up and, and make these things fly a little bit flatter.
B
16:21Brian KnudsonHOST
Um, I did notice that this does fly a little bit higher than, say, the Vokey's that I play a lot, uh, or even my Cleveland RTZ 2s.
B
16:28Brian KnudsonHOST
They come out just a little bit flatter.
B
16:29Brian KnudsonHOST
The window on this is just a touch higher.
12 MINS LATER
B
28:26Brian KnudsonHOST
But he has some interesting wedges.
B
28:28Brian KnudsonHOST
And it looks like he's got a, is it two? Both are lob wedges.
B
28:33Brian KnudsonHOST
And the first one is a Cleveland RTZ2 Tour Rack.
B
28:36Brian KnudsonHOST
So the new RTZ2s, and it's a 60, but it is a grind that we don't have.
Brooks Koepka puts an old favorite back in the bag
J
25:52Jonathan WallHOST
I think they have the most room to grow over all the brands in the, uh, in the industry right now.
G
25:57Gene ParenteHOST
And they have a pedigree to match, meaning that Cleveland Golf, Srixon bought Cleveland Golf, so it's Srixon/Cleveland, so they have the wedge category locked down.
G
26:09Gene ParenteHOST
And-
J
26:09Jonathan WallHOST
And Rogers back
J
27:20Jonathan WallHOST
It's up for, for debate.
J
27:22Jonathan WallHOST
If you've seen their products in the past and you take a look at this one, it, this one has a premium feel to it.
J
27:29Jonathan WallHOST
And I talked to, talked to Rob Waters, who's the, who's the head of tour for Cleveland/Srixon, and he was telling me like, "No joke, this, this driver here for us, at least on tour, has been the easiest sell to golf- to the pros." Like, they've had guys that it's like word of mouth, "Hey, can I take a look at that new driver?" They check it out, they put it down, they hit a few, and it's like, man, I'm thinking this on the golf course, and they've been getting phone calls or texts, Rob has, of, of more conversions into this driver.
J
28:01Jonathan WallHOST
I'm not saying it's gonna be the number one driver on the PGA Tour this next season, but again, I, I do think that of the brands out there, Srixon has the most room to grow at retail, on tour.
The Best Wedge of 2026 Revealed
N
8:37Nicola SlaterHOST
Yeah, he begged me to take it away on the day, so he's got it.
N
8:41Nicola SlaterHOST
So yeah, that got 9.2 out of 10 from our panellists and closely followed, well, not too closely followed behind, but the Titleist SM11, that was 8.6. And then have you seen the new Cleveland wedge, the
J

RTZ2? Not in person.
N
8:56Nicola SlaterHOST
There's one just in there.
11 MINS LATER
N
19:35Nicola SlaterHOST
It's spending, yeah.
N
19:35Nicola SlaterHOST
And if you look at these and go, well, they do a good job.
N
19:40Nicola SlaterHOST
Cleveland Arteza 2 is also up there.
N
19:42Nicola SlaterHOST
Now, these are £159, which does just sit slightly below that, I guess.
Your Swing Looks Perfect. That's the Problem - Austin Langdale
I
4:29IsaacHOST
You've got, like I mentioned, you've got a very unique role.
I
4:31IsaacHOST
Could you explain what kind of value you bring to, to Srixon or Srixon Cleveland?
A
4:37Austin LangdaleGUEST
Uh, I mean, I don't, I don't know necessarily, um, you know, what value I add other than hopefully, you know, just doing a good job of what, what they want me to do.
A
4:47Austin LangdaleGUEST
But, um, I think I'm probably unique in, in the sense that I am still trying to play some competitive golf and, you know, being inside the ropes with some of these kids.
Chatting with Joseph LaMagna from The Fried Egg about data, course fit and strategy
R
30:45Ryan BarathHOST
So that's where the, you see now when drivers get sh- especially if you go look at dr- a lot of drivers, I actually f- I got one, I don't have it with me.
R
30:53Ryan BarathHOST
Uh, I have a Cleveland classic, uh, it looks like a persimmon driver but it's actually like a ti- a big oversized titanium driver.
R
31:00Ryan BarathHOST
It's probably one of the deepest faces that [laughs] like is, was ever made.
R
31:03Ryan BarathHOST
It's so deep o- on this club face.
R
31:05Ryan BarathHOST
Um, but because of that, like, you know, you get more workability with that style of club head versus now you see most companies they go very, they go as shallow as they can and push the dimensions out within I think it's, I think it's six inches.
R
31:19Ryan BarathHOST
Um, but they kind of just, I mean the old Cleveland, the, the Nike Sumo was a perfect example.
R
31:23Ryan BarathHOST
Like, that thing was actually fade bias and it was perfectly square because of how far, because of the way the club head is designed to push that center of gravity further away from the h- the shaft axis.
R
31:35Ryan BarathHOST
And that's where that workability comes from.

Ian Fraser - The Sharpest Mind in Club Fitting
I
5:20Ian FraserGUEST
It's incredible.
I
5:21Ian FraserGUEST

I
5:26Ian FraserGUEST
And I've got loads of friends who work at Cleveland and Strixon.
I
5:30Ian FraserGUEST
They were on the way to an event and the president of the company, Mike Powell, who's a good friend and their head of R&D, I think it was Jeff Brunskie, They were all sitting on the bus when this episode launched, all of them together.
I
5:46Ian FraserGUEST
So I get this message like, Fraz, you wouldn't believe what's just happened.
I
5:56Ian FraserGUEST
Would you get on a call? Can we talk about it? It's like, listen, you do the test and come back and tell me if I'm a liar.
C
6:02Calum AllisonHOST

I
6:03Ian FraserGUEST

Episode 127: Kirkland Golf Special
H
5:20HambinoHOST
Boki.
T
5:22Tuck SauceHOST
And Boki's were third, but I think it's, I mean, if you look at Cleveland and like those, those companies usually switch, switch ends.
T
5:34Tuck SauceHOST
But I wanted to just go ahead and like, so these are the Boki wedges, Ian.
T
5:45Tuck SauceHOST
that were ranked first.
