I think the production aids it greatly, but I actually think that Boss Colloid are one of those bands where you don't have to do much to that sound.
D
18:45DuncanHOST
I think having seen them live now, I can attest pretty much what you hear is what's on the album, and it's all locked in.
D
18:53DuncanHOST
I will also say one step further, I think the band now being on like a church road records for example is like that's chef's kiss placement i think church road is a natural home for them i think they will only go on and do bigger things um and they have a good solid fan base at the moment but i kind of feel like and i always feel like we do this with a lot of bands that we come back to revisit on future reviews i kind of feel like they should be bigger than they are um At times here, there are little moments that seem not too dissimilar to the new Mastodon album.
D
19:28DuncanHOST
And I see how big fucking Mastodon are and I'm like that.

I really liked this album the first time I listened to it.
J

I was actually kind of blown away at the mixture of aggression and hardcore shouted style vocals with the death metal elements.

And, um, I think all the gigging and all the kind of releases they've done before have been leading to this one.
