Chesterfield County Public Schools

We moved here in 92, and that's when everything started to take off.

Went into Chesterfield County Public Schools all throughout my scholastic career as a student-athlete.

And There are so many lessons that I've learned from elementary all the way up to high school.

Harrogate Elementary, Carver Middle School, and then Thomasdale High School, where I had a lot of teammates, a lot of coaches, a lot of teachers who always poured into me to help me go along my path as a young student athlete.

We're back to one for schools today.

I've got Dr. Reed Wodica from Chesterfield County Public Schools to come on and talk to us about the projects.

We're going to walk through each one of them and some of the specifics as well as kind of try to define What in the world major maintenance even means? Before we get started, first, Reid, welcome to the podcast, sir.

Tell me a little bit about how you came to be here.

Yeah.

So I have the really distinct privilege of being the chief operations officer for Chesterfield County Public Schools.

And so in that role, I get to supervise all the really great things like we're building schools and we're doing facilities maintenance and we're doing transportation every day.

I might be 1% less atheist today.

Virginia Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears has called for the Dean of Students of Chesterfield County Public Schools to be fired for saying, quote, Charlie Kirk, you reap what you sow.

Also in Virginia, a realtor posted, the world is a better place with less Trump supporters, period.

She was swiftly fired from not one, but two jobs.

I appreciate that opportunity.

This is my 23rd year with Chesterfield County Public Schools, everywhere from teacher to principal to now entering my third year as superintendent of this great school division.
