Next, Israel's mouthpiece in Canada, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, or CIJA, has been lobbying the federal government to expand the grounds on which Canada can revoke someone's citizenship.

I was always obviously, I was obviously hopeful we would get the information, but I know that, and certainly the Globe has reported upon this earlier this year, that the request that B'nai B'rith was making and the Globe and Mail and the Daily Beast, which is a publication in the United States, were also people requesting this information.

that Sijia, the Center for Israel and Jewish Affairs, has been undermining the efforts of getting this information by lobbying the government not to release it.

In fact, Sijia did come out on the record and call for the files to be released in the principle of transparency.

But Sijia says any form of disclosure should be done with proper context to avoid a witch hunt in the court of public opinion.

to have you jump in, if you wouldn't mind, because when you wrote your book and you got access to files that maybe the Duchenne report didn't have, because your book came out in 2000, but a few years later, can you speak to what you were able to get? At the time

The speaker, identified by World Israel News as university lecturer Dr Abbas Hams, accused Zionists of engaging in acts of rape, murder and cannibalism against children.

These remarks echo historical blood libels and come amid concerns about harassment targeting Toronto's Jewish community, according to the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs.

We've seen a big battle in Canada, as you have in the United States, where the pro-Israel forces like APAC or CIJA here in Canada, the Ca- uh, um, there's the parallel pro-Israel, uh, lobby group, are on the defensive now.

They are s- they still capture most of the political class and, uh, the mainstream media, but among the majority of people, we want to see our government step up and take a clear moral position against apartheid, against genocide, and against the killing of civilians.

And, uh, you see these debates breaking out at the city council level, uh, uh, in educational institutions, in, uh, and, and at the national level in Canada, and the tide has turned definitively.
