Within a few years after the great discovery of Columbus, the channel ports of Saint-Malo and Dieppe were sending forth adventurous fishermen to ply their trade among the fogs of the great banks of the new land.

If he did not find the long-sought passage to the western sea, at least he added to the dominions of France, a territory the potential wealth of which, as we now see, was not surpassed even by the riches of Cathay.

So I would say in general, it's probably a little bit lower than, say, like the Air France card, but equivalent to the Porter card.

and I would put the United card as having the same or even potentially better utility than the Porter card because you can redeem mileage plus miles for domestic flights on Air Canada and it also has a low annual fee of only 89 dollars per year and then the other honorable mention is also from Neo it's the Cathay worldly mass card powered by Neo again a variable return so this is with the Cathay Pacific Cathay program the card earns Asia miles and you'll be earning one Asia mile per dollar spend at Costco but you have that potential for outsized value so again you know if you're getting two cents per point three cents per point on your redemptions within the Cathay program that's like a two or three percent return on spending the reason why it's only kind of an honorable mention is that the program has a lot less utility than say Flying Blue or even Mileage Plus because you'll be redeeming primarily on Cathay and the only flight of Vancouver or Toronto Now they do have the One World Alliance that they're part of, so you can redeem on American Airlines.

They do have a redemption option on domestic Air Canada flights, but only select ones across the major routes like Vancouver, Toronto, I think Vancouver, Calgary, things like that.

So a little less utility than say Mileage Plus or Flying Blue for flying domestically within Canada.

Forget paper money.

Think of what Marco Polo wrote in 1300 AD, and he was absolutely gobsmacked that people in Cathay or in China exchanged their gold and their gems and their pearls for paper money.

And this paper money was made out of mulberry bark.

But just remember, Frontier does make you pay more in miles or in cash, depending on how you're booking, for more perks, like even bringing a carry-on on board.

And so just be sure to pay attention to that.
