Canadian National Exhibition

It still goes on.

It's like a fair, an end of summer fair that takes place here in Toronto called the Canadian National Exhibition.

And back in the day, I don't think it's like this now.

It must be online.

Um, I have a classmate who went to the tailgates and has, you know, taken pictures of them, and it's like I did not know Argos fans tailgated.

Every time I've been to an Argos game in my life has been in the CNE game because then you get free admission to the CNE.

But I might have to hit up more games next season.

Uh, I will definitely because next season, if you guys don't know, the schedule's gonna start in May, and then they're gonna be playing regular season in May.

All the teams here in Toronto, they're playing at Coca-Cola Coliseum, which is also the home of the Toronto Tempo, our new WNBA team.

It's the one on the grounds of the Canadian National Exhibition, which you can see from the Gardner Expressway.

And I mean, the Toronto team is really exciting.

There used to be a fairground there.

I grew up in Toronto and, you know, there's the CNE and things like that.

But we had this little secret place.

We thought it was a secret place called Crystal Beach.

they got me to do Ray Charles.

Now for the CNE, Ted Rosnick and Steve McKinnon were great ad jingle guys.

Sid Kessler was the jingle King in Toronto.

Right.

Yeah, it's horrible.

So what's she doing? The CNE grounds is not provincial territory.

That's Toronto territory.

And they're going to like build it into an entertainment district with like another hotel.

I can tell

you for sure you are the authority about rioting at the CNE because I made a reference to those riots in a newsletter recently.

Yeah, me too.

I was there a bunch of times.

It's just like, that sounds like something that you would do it at the X.

in Toronto.

One day he came to me and he said, "Ted," he says, "You know, why don't we do an afternoon show together for a couple of weeks at the CNE?" I said, "At the CNE?" He said, "Yeah." He says, "We're gonna do it, uh, we got an idea.

We're gonna take this, um, parking lot attendant's booth, and we're gonna hoist it up to the 10th floor of the Boulevard Tower-

... on, on the platform w- where the people gathered." You remember the Boulevard Tower at the CNE?
