Scott, I won't ask you how, how-- what field conditions are, are like in, in, uh, in your backyard.

And there are similar organizations across Canada in each province.

And we all participate as part of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture as well.

I guess, Donald, the first question is, how does a food hub help PEI small and medium-sized firms?

When you're growing food as a business, you need markets and access to those markets can be difficult, particularly if you're a small and medium-sized grower.

The Canadian Federation of Agriculture expressed concern about the breakdown in Canada-U.S. trade negotiations and the impact escalating trade measures could have on Canadian farmers.

Canada and the U.S. share one of the most important agricultural trading relationships in the world.

As trade measures escalate, farmers, processors and consumers on both sides of the border face growing uncertainty and risks to supply chains built over decades of cross-border cooperation.

You served as president of the Canadian Horticultural Council in 2002, Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association in 1992, and also sat on the board of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture for quite some time.

Why did being involved in farm policy and leadership, why was that important for you specifically?

Well, sometimes I don't think the people that make the policy know exactly what they need, you know, with policy.

Is, is CAFTA supportive of the talks getting restarted as soon as possible, or what, what are your thoughts on, on that? What are you encouraging? At, at that table of the Prime Minister's Advisory Council, what are, what are you promoting?

You're the president of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture, Keith, and the organization was formed in 1935.

That's almost 100 years ago.
