The state, the state championships?

The CIF championships? I think they are.

Well, it's at Dodger Stadium

... will be-

It's weird to see anybody play at Dodger Stadium that's not the Dodgers, unless it's a CIF game.

Again, I'm Trevor Norcross, and I am not a direct member of the community, but I am a parent of a trans child at Arroyo Grande High School that has been under intense scrutiny and intense attacks, not only within our community, but within our nation's capital.

My daughter is one of the unnamed examples in the DOJ lawsuit against California Department of Education and CIF because of the attacks that she has been under.

It's been a wild journey.

I've always considered myself an ally to the community, but realize now that you can never understand what that means until it's your kid.

Okay.

They got all the permissions from the CIF, I think, which is the people that run the football program here in California.

Okay.

And they gave them the heads-up.

Who'd they lose to?

I don't know who they lost to, but anyways, they were five and one.

Well, now, with this investigation that came on, I don't know what they found wrong, the CIF actually made them, those five o- four of those losses turn...

Four of those wins got turned into losses.

It does suck.

I, I played there my, uh, junior year CIF championship, and we beat Harvard-Westlake.

Yes, you did.

Uh, no big deal.

I made the team, the sophomore team.

We were CIF champions.

I love it.

As a sophomore.

Because it is different.

I mean, because California has CIF rules, so we have to abide by these in-season rules.

So what's really cool here is – outside of the cif season the california season that there's nothing there's no structure um most of the schools what i'm noticing uh don't have any any infrastructure for the off season so these kids in the summertime and wintertime they're like they want to train but they're just like you know what do they do and where do they go and how do they communicate and so um it's been cool to have like a summer winter program for them to kind of stay in touch and then uh And then kind of bridge that for them.

And then, yeah, I mean, some of the kids go back to their coaches in season.

She goes to Oak Park High School, right? Okay, well, a pretty darn good sports high school for those of you not from Southern California.

She becomes the CIF champion in the 1600 meter.

She becomes the CIF champion in the 3200 meter.

D3 Southern section cross-country champion.

I mean, yeah, this isn't just like a...

He is a very impressive.

So I think he's a CIF guy, but not from Bishop Montgomery shout outs to,

to them in their era of the Thompson brothers.

We really can't like Isaiah

We were at the Long Beach State Pyramid.

It's a staple for basketball, CIF basketball.

And I remember standing up top.

My dad was like, do you want to sit down and watch the game? And I was like, no, I want to stand up top and watch.

And they're playing Linwood in the CIF championship.

And this is when Sade Gateway Wiley was playing and Judith Smith and whatnot.

And they were juniors.

So there was that.
