Hey there folks, Alex Lux here.

And if I sound a little bit different than what I normally would be on a solo episode, that's because I am coming to you live from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario.

And I am doing a different sort of episode today than most of my other solo episodes.

And that's because I am coming to you from the Collective 2026 Embrace for Impact youth event.

So growing up in the church, I was connected with a youth organization from 1999 till 2008 called the Presbyterian Young People's Society, or PYPS, where I served as as both an attendee and in a leadership role.

And it was really where I picked up and honed my skills as a documentary photographer.

And I would attend two Kennedy Youth events, which were the predecessor national youth conferences for the PCC here at Brock University, once in 2003 and again in 2009.

And at the 2009 event, I was one of several photographers at that event and ended up having my work published in the national magazine for the church, the Presbyterian Record.

No, Professor Negative, No-Joe Kushner, and Frosty the No-Man.

Kushner is also retiring as an economics professor at Brock University, giving him more time to care for his wife and deal with his own health issues.
