I said Phonographic.

And so I thought, "Oh, I wonder if it'll be on the evening news 'cause she's forgotten that, that it is." Yeah.

So I put the telly on, and then it comes to the last story after the weather.

"And the British phonographic industry- Ah ... has had photographs-" This is you.

"Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." And she's eating her tea, right? And I'm eating my tea, and she looks at the telly, and then here comes the report.

So your whole career to this point has been about influencing change.

But now let's talk, let's fast forward a little bit to your role now, your current role with the BPI, because...

If ever there was an industry that needed really good thought processes around change and managing substantial change, where the tectonic plates of the industry seem to be constantly shifting backwards, forwards, up, down, left, right.

And at the... advent of technology being at probably the most powerful it's been in my lifetime in terms of what it is capable of doing.

And so with that, Tell me a bit about your role and how you're kind of taking that fight

on.

So BPI as a trade body, we represent the recorded music side of UK businesses.

So many of our members are label businesses or versions of label businesses.
