British Naturism

I'm like, surely the phones shouldn't exist at all.

But apparently British Naturism has been working with the Law Commission on this kind of image abuse issue.

and that actually quite a lot of women are staying away from naturism because of the fear of that because of what could happen and because of the objectification potentially through having images taken that they weren't actually expecting to have and actually as women we've learned that that exists just not just within naturism but absolutely everywhere and essentially is what people speak to when I talk about like you know my children going there but it's like well yeah like but there's a risk of it everywhere um and I'm particularly concerned about how the phones are monitored within spaces that essentially I don't think people should be getting their phones out take a camera take an like take a camera off the agenda you don't need it there and I saw people I've seen people you know taking photos in places that I wouldn't expect people to take photos so I do think that is a problem quite frankly now I spoke about ethical porn because I do think that's something to bring into this I spoke about ethical porn within my book and ethical porn is essentially how porn is made and not like what kind of porn is shown so not what kind of sex is shown it's core principles about being informed and ongoing consent safer working conditions and like credit for the performers and like There's a wider range of bodies and a camera that doesn't just take it from the male gaze, the male point of view, fair pay and so on and so forth.

So I actually interviewed somebody from Erica Lust for my book and it's very interesting to read what they say about ethical porn and I've learnt a lot about it as a result of interviewing somebody from Erica Lust.

Hi, and welcome to Women in Focus, a podcast brought to you by British Naturism.

I'm your host, Helen Berriman, and today we bring you episode 35.

Here at British Naturism, it's been a fully packed season.

We've had so much on the calendar, from Nudefest to NKD to Everybody Festival to The Gathering to, oh my gosh, there's been so much, Naked Heart Walks, Skinny Dips, you name it, we've probably done it.

There's still more coming up, so if you're interested in what we've got to offer, please check out BN's website for their events.

Dozens of naked people took shelter from the public under the dome at Dunfermline's Adventure Golf Island.

An event organised by British Naturism took place there on Saturday, August 29th.

Manager of the facility at Fife Leisure Park, Matthew Corey, said, We just received an inquiry about it by email and I think one of the organisers is a regular customer here.

There were a few puns at the time and I think we weren't quite sure if it was serious.
