Mid-March, three Brightmark plastic renewal subsidiaries filed Chapter 11.

In May of 2025, There was an auction.

The parent company, Brightmark LLC, won its own assets back for $14.3 million against a higher bid from UMB Bank, which the court accepted, passing over to avoid shutdown and cleanup costs.

And then late May 2025, the sale closes, and since then, operations have paused.

The plant was financed with about $260 million at the time of the auction.
