[upbeat music] Our connection this hour was made nearly one year ago, October 23rd, 2025, when the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester dropped a little news on this program.

The coalition has been working hard to convince Congress to pass the Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act, which aims to waive waiting periods for Social Security disability insurance and Medicare for Stage 4 patients.

The coalition thought this was a no-brainer, but it turns out that one of the local members of Congress, just one, did not agree, and basically froze them out.
