Blaupunkt

I don't remember a time when I does- I wasn't singing.

And I have a beautiful memory of my parents had little VW Bugs back in the day, and I remember driving on the highway near the ocean with the little, they called them Blaupunkt radios that were in these cars, and my mom had on some of my-

Oh, yeah, I remember Blaupunkt.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And then all of a sudden his neighbor next door drives up with a Lexus that everybody else was just talking about.

And he sees that spanking new Lexus over there with the sound system, that Blaupunkt sound system from Germany.

And it's beautiful with the pinstriping and everything else.

And of course, five times what it is.

And that's okay.

That's okay, because you've never really lived until you had a Blaupunkt stereo system garble your cassette tape and eat it, only to have to spin it back with a pencil

technology remember also with the lasery technology for cd players cars players all that stuff sony's all eventually started to take a shit right around the early 2000s yeah

and it's because it's a lot of it started to be so commonplace in manufacturing that like there wasn't really a difference between any one stereo really a lot of the time you used to have people who'd get really into the stereos and they're like, oh, I've got a Blaupunkt or I've got a whatever.

And you remember how they'd have the removable front part of the stereo that was serialized to the stereo, so it'd make a pointless steal.

Well, the reason why you stopped getting custom stereos like that or seeing them as often is because stereos are all basically made in the same place now.

Now, when we met at Prescott Hill before the big breakdown, I showed Matt my new stereo in the Rolls-Royce.

Pictures are on Instagram and Facebook now of the transformation from the original 1980 Blaupunkt Frankfurt to the new digital 2025 Blaupunkt Frankfurt.

Now, it wasn't really an easy process.

Remember, I didn't do this myself.

My name is Victoria Rawlins and I'll be taking full control of your cosmic car for the next hour.

So whether you're bumping Sony, Alpine, Bose or Blaupunkt, it's time to turn up the volume, shut off the GPS, let go of the wheel and cruise to the sounds that I love the most.

chromed, aerodynamic, turbocharged, always driving 10 tenths, and it definitely has to move the body.

So buckle up and let's hit the intergalactic superhighway right here on Psychic Baseline.
