And you're like, wow.

And that requires a totally different type of gun, right? I mean, they shoot almost exclusively Blaser straight bulls because they're fast, you know.

i don't think they'd ever use some autos even if they could legally most of them that can't but they just like that riflemanship and being able to work a bolt quick and get back on a target they shoot no powered optics they always shoot aim points even if they don't work frame point they're shooting aim points because you can keep both eyes open and watch that moving target and make sure a dog isn't coming into that shot as you're breaking it so it's a totally different set of parameters than what you focused on or you know i luckily i've seen a little bit of all of this you know i gotta be a jack of all trades and good at none of it you know

what uh what hunt or or experience is kind of that one that brings you back again or that you would like to go do again

Oh, that's 100% right.

I've always had that, I don't want to say argument, but debate with guys because I've gotten spoiled in my life where I appreciate fine things, whether it's watches or cars or guns.

People will look at your rifle or a Rigby that I own or a Blaser that I own and like, man, why does that cost $5,000 or $10,000 or $15,000? I'm like, my Savage will shoot a half minute.

Yeah, it will.

Um, I've done other hunts with a Weatherby, um, that performed very, very well again.

Um, and then the first hunt I did, I took a Blaser out.

Um, I didn't end up using the Blaser, um, not because there was a problem with the Blaser, because it was too light a caliber.

Mm-hmm.

Um, so I used a friend's rifle instead, which was much more punchy.

But that's part of the learning curve.

You know, I went out and I thought, "I can do anything with this little Blaser.

This'll be great." Um, but it just wasn't...

Yeah.

So I definitely, I definitely see the appeal now, you know, and while I was over there, I hunted both the Roebuck and the Shamwai shot with Blaser K95s, which is a, you know, a single shot break action shotgun.

and never, never hunted with the break action centerfire rifle before.

I don't think I've ever seen that version.

Because it's just four posts holding up a roof.

So that short little gun was real handy for that.

And the other thing that I really hadn't appreciated about those guns is When you close, and this might just be specific to the Blaser, but when you close that break action, I'm used to closing like it cocks on close, right? Right.

So on those guns, it doesn't cock on close.

And, you know, they're expensive high dollar guns and you know how the Russians are, you get some of the, you know, some of those wealthy Russians, they spend some money on some guns.

So in Russia, there were a bunch of these small, companies, boutique companies that were making custom stocks and custom barrel shanks and custom magazines and parts for Blaser rifles.

And I'd been regularly communicating with a couple of these groups, talking about the possibility of Hey, you know, I'm a Blaser guy bringing the stuff into the U.S.

This all hit and boom.

And it was like, no, we can't do it.

That's going to be an interesting deal.

We're going to do a Blaser chassis.

As soon as that one's done, we'll get on the Blazer also.

But we've still got a bunch being built with Roadster Shops in the shop now.
