We've got somebody on the line here to talk about Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.

So with us on the line, we have Julie Barger.

And she is a Senior Director of Visitor Experience at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, which is located right there.

Isn't it pretty darn close, if not in Kanab, Utah? Yeah.

As for Mary Ann, she started a new cult after their split, which changed names several times and ended up as the Foundation Faith of God in 1980.

And then oddly, Mary Ann's faction of the church later became the Best Friends Animal Society, which still exists today.

Mary Ann currently lives in Utah.

And finally, we come to the last theory connected to the murders, or at least the murders that occurred at the Cielo Drive House, where Sharon Tate lived with her husband, movie director Roman Polanski, who by the time of the murders had directed one of the most famous devil films of all time, Rosemary's Baby, which we'll be doing an episode about very soon.

Biscuit was brought to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah, a place set in the Red Rock Canyons of southern Utah that is one of the largest no-kill animal sanctuaries in the country.

When he arrived, Biscuit hid.

He pressed himself into the corner of his kennel and would not come forward.

Um, they call the shelters no-kill when they're killing dogs every single day.

Best Friends Animal Society calls it No-Kill LA.

It's their thing.

And I don't agree with it because you, how can you call something, how can you call something no-kill when killing is happening every day? These are adoptable, lovable dogs.

[laughs] Just can't stand these people.

Uh, for those who don't know, the Process Church, uh, basically turned into a, um, what is it? Best Friends Animal Society.

So very interesting.

Uh, this Process magazine, uh, has Mick Jagger on the cover The church has peculiar affinity with German shepherds even to this day.
