Benzie Transportation Authority

Michigan is awarding $65 million to public transportation agencies statewide to expand services, restore routes, and improve regional connections.

Locally, the Thunder Bay Transportation Authority in Alpena County will receive about $678,000, while the Benzie Transportation Authority is getting nearly $95,000.

The funding comes from the state's infrastructure projects authority fund.
