And we are going to break that down for everybody.

You know, and I'm excited about that, you know.

So anyways, tonight we are going to be barrel bottle breaking down.

So this is the Victorian Pineapple Bardstown Bourbon Company rum barrel finished barrel.

whiskey, and rye.

Caramel, bubble gum.

It almost, I mean, and I could be totally wrong, but this is either like a wild turkey or a Bardstown.

Now I'm proud of you.

Yeah.

So I've been reading about these.

I've heard about 'em, haven't tried 'em.

Me neither.

So we're Bardstown fans.

These are two, uh, like I said, new things.

We're gonna write these social media posts, tell the consumer exactly what they are," and then that's kinda just where they went.

It was like, "Okay, I know I'm drinking Bardstown or Green River or Beam" or whatever else the Short Barrel's putting out that allowed that kinda, you know, to kind of blend all, all the way through.

Yeah, so y'all are looking at the landscape of...

Y- y'all are an NDP, non-distilling producer for those out there.

Like, NDPs, in my mind, yes, we all compete.

There's shelf space everywhere, and there's different things, too, but if we can help tell each other's stories, get out really cool products we're doing together, and make a really kick-ass product, there's no reason that we shouldn't start collabing with each other.

Yeah, I think collabs are there, and Bardstown Bourbon Company kind of, like, did a really good job of, like, bringing in outside entities.

I'm doing a collab with an Atlanta band called Run the Jewels-

So I, I, I actually kinda think the ending worked really well for me.

[laughs] This is it.

26% of all craft spirits are sold at the distillery, up from 14% in 2015.

Turning to Kentucky now, Bourbon Hall of Fame Master Distiller Steve Nally is moving into an emeritus role at Lofted Spirits, which owns the Bardstown Bourbon Company and Green River Distilling.

Steve has been Master Distiller at Bardstown Bourbon since day one in 2014.

He'll be succeeded by Nick Smith, who has been Head Distiller and Director of Distilling at Bardstown Bourbon since 2022.

And so, uh, we did start adding some wheat to what we were making our rye early on, and understanding that wheat even at that 5%, you know, drawing the rye back to 90%, 5% malted barley, and then adding 5% wheat, that just with that, adding an extra little peak of interest there and a little bit of that softness coming through.

Uh, and, and so we, we did that with our own distillate, and then as Bardstown started making, uh, distillate for us, we continued that mash bill.

And so our Emerald Giant is, is technically a very high rye, rye whiskey at a little over 90% rye, but it does have, uh, you know, probably about 5% malted barley and maybe 3 to 4% wheat at this point.

That's just giving a little bit of a drawback and a little bit more intrigue.
