Bang & Olufsen

One of my early memories is as a teenager, my parents had friends who were far wealthier than we were.

And we went to their home and they had a Bang & Olufsen stereo system.

And I had no idea what Bang & Olufsen was, but I looked at this and I thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

And when I got to college, I took basically my life savings at that point, and I bought myself my first Bang & Olufsen stereo system.

And in my apartment, I would listen to Talking Heads as an example, and it just sounded so much better because it was coming from something so beautiful.

So it made you appreciate the music even more because the design of the stereo system.

And so throughout my life, I've been interested in all forms of design, whether it's automotive design, furniture, fashion, art.

It's just fascinating to me, and it's always been an interest.

And those big six piston brakes do a really decent job of stopping the car.

So also, Audi is equipping the Q9 and SQ9 with, on the SQ9 it's standard, I believe, Q9 optional, the Bang & Olufsen 4D sound system.

What does 4D mean? Well, some additional actuators are added Supplifers, if you want to call them, into the seats in the front, allow you to actually feel the music as opposed to just hear it.

Is it worth the upgrade? I don't know.

Normally it's about seven days, but this is about five.

What else have we got? The B&O sound system, that's 4,700.

The rotating display, that's 4,500, which I would absolutely not have that car without the rotating display.

It needs that.

That's a real problem to me, but it's not a problem to the person who bought it if they take it home and they love it and they're happy.

Uh, Bang & Olufsen always used to joke, "Twice the price for half the performance." But, you know, people who buy B&O want it that way.

They're not saying they purposely don't care about sound.

They're willing to buy something that compliments their lifestyle, and it's worth it to them.

Things that are nice just to be nice.

I always think of Bang & Olufsen.

You're paying for the design and the build and all that more than you're really getting the high fidelity out of it.

They make some pretty good products too from time to time, but they're a design house.

If you're going to take photographs, there's a bigger battery, which I do, does appeal.

There's B&O sound rather than Bose sound.

And yes, it will, I think you said before, Joe, it will be better balanced because of the way that the, The stuff is that the cameras on the back are across the whole width.

Having said that, my signature with the case on, it doesn't rock at all because of the way I've arranged the case.

She was living on the street I was living out at the time because I was living in my parents' house.

You don't work at B&O.
