Yeah, I really wanted to understand that as well.

So when I was in DC, I met with a bunch of lobbyists to understand what their day-to-day looks like, and one of them was Hunter Morgan, a trade lobbyist at a really big firm called Ballard Partners.

And what he told me is that lobbying, especially when it comes to trade, is an art-

How much are they making?

Yeah, these companies are breaking their own records, and we know all of this because they have to disclose it.

Ballard Partners, which I mentioned before, last year they made $88 million, up from 20 million the year before-

Oh my goodness, wow

So they partner with a ton of lobbying firms, including many that have very deep ties to the Trump administration.

Ballard Partners is one of them.

People largely know it as Pam Bondi's former lobbying firm and Kyle House Group, which is another firm that they're probably the closest, have the closest ties with.

And you kind of see them across the development space in DC.

And even though he's got a long track record of working hand in glove with American adversaries worldwide, Khalifa Haftar appears to have Washington's backing.

In part, that decision may be thanks to a group called Ballard Partners, a lobbying firm staffed by a who's who of former Trump administration officials.

Ballard Partners enjoys deep ties to the current leadership in Washington, and according to disclosure documents reviewed by the Washington Post just this March, the lobbying group is now acting as public relations representation for Khalifa Haftar and his son.

By then, the Haftar family was already deeply involved with Mossad Boulos and the negotiations process, but Ballard Partners signed the deal before the most recent evolution in the Haftar-Washington relationship, where the Haftars have evolved from a shadow partner to an emerging White House ally.

All this despite the fact that the US has been the forum for several legal cases against the Haftar family for human rights violations.

That includes one civil lawsuit where Khalifa Haftar and Pavel Prigozhin, the son of the now-deceased Wagner Group mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin, are on the hook for at least $80 million of damages due to alleged war crimes.
