There's a proposal to restrict automakers when more than 15% of their ownership is held by entities connected to china russia iran or north korea now you might say well mercedes is a german company right for sure it's it's the original auto manufacturer right right well did you know mercedes is nearly 20 chinese owned through two major shareholders and this is where it gets interesting Li Shufu is founder and chairman of Geely, which is a brand that they don't want in the U.S. because they're afraid of the automakers being like just basically out of business, our automakers, because they could sell these things for low money.
