Now, sometimes the biggest opportunities don't come from building a business, They come from recognising that something important is missing and having the conviction to be the one to build it.

Mario ProtanoGUEST

So, um, started to look at other, uh, agencies out there.
Mario ProtanoGUEST
34:07
And also, I had been told that our UK division, uh, was using Awin, uh, and, uh, reached out to them and, you know, asked them several questions, and they were saying that, you know, they're great for many, many reasons.
Mario ProtanoGUEST
34:24
They are that strategic partner.
Mario ProtanoGUEST
34:26
We've had a lot of success with them, uh, and we continue to use them moving forward.
Mario ProtanoGUEST
34:31
So as you know, that's the best kind of review you can get from somebody internally.
Mario ProtanoGUEST
34:35
[laughs] So met with Awin and really got that same feeling, uh, after meeting with them, uh, because one thing that I was trying to do, we were more focused-- The original affiliate program was more focused on those coupon sites, right? And those are great, but-- and they do drive volume and stuff, but are they driving incremental value? And so we wanted to change our strategy, uh, not get rid of coupon sites or loyalty sites, but start to focus more on content providers like a CMS Wire and stuff, [laughs] as well as influencers, creators, um, you know, partners out there that are gonna help us from an awareness, an acquisition, retention, but also going to help us with that authority, that credible source.
Mario ProtanoGUEST
35:29
So, um, just talking to Awin, I did feel that that was our best move, or we felt at Clark it was our best move.
Mario ProtanoGUEST
35:36
And, you know, it's great to have the same agency, you know, throughout the company rather than, you know, um, having, you know, one agency in the US and the other, a different agency in the UK.
