AT&T Broadband

So there's a clear example, right? I mean, the Comcast guys are smart.

When I was a banker, I worked on the Comcast acquisition of AT&T Broadband, which was a big cable business.

That was a $72 billion deal back in 2001.

That was the biggest deal of all time up to that date.

That was Comcast.

Yeah, right after Comcast had acquired AT&T Broadband and suddenly found themselves the largest broadband service provider in the world.

And they didn't know anything about running an online service.

So I came in as director of subscriber applications, essentially anything that would be tied to your online connection, your broadband connection, eventually worked my way up to VP of games.
