Association of Gospel Rescue Missions

Senior chaplain.

Across the table from us is Tom DeVries from CityGate Network.

You are the CEO, right? Yeah,

president and CEO of CityGate Network, yes.

And you're in town for a conference.

Great to be able to have a conversation.

And he realized that there needed to be ministry to those men who had been incarcerated and now were on the street and had no place to go.

And he started a city mission, a rescue mission that way that ultimately in 1906, we started as the International Union of Gospel Missions, which then became the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions.

And the whole thing is going to stream nationally with local organizations live streaming their own conversations, too.

So behind so much of this is the CityGate Network, and I want to tell you about them.

They're the largest and one of the oldest networks of rescue missions and recovery centers in North America, connecting missions that serve people facing the three issues that are going to be discussed, homelessness, addiction, and mental health crises.

And they work through initiatives like Conversations on a Bench, to humanize these issues and to mobilize communities toward lasting life transformation change.
