And so the newbies coming into this, you know, newly minted BCBAs are not quite well trained or versed in this.

It also goes back to, you're familiar with the ABAI's position paper on use of restraint and seclusion from 2010?

Right, right.

And then from there, it will be printed hardcover about nine months later, interestingly enough.

And we'll be out there on the shelves.

And we hope to be at ABAI and other conferences for the book signing by the authors.

My guest today is Dr. Sarah Sulsula, behavior analyst, educator, entrepreneur, and president of the ABAI Saudi Arabia chapter.

Sarah's career has taken her from the early days of autism services in Saudi Arabia to advanced training at Columbia University and ultimately to co-founding Seeds of Knowledge, an organization dedicated to providing high quality, family-centered autism services.

What makes this conversation particularly compelling is Sarah's willingness to challenge assumptions within our field.

And that's part of...

So we have an ABAI Saudi chapter, and in that chapter, we have created an executive ABAI committee.

And in that committee, it's really exciting because we have all the top PhD hold-- all the PhD holders and behavior analysts in Saudi are in that group, most of them anyway.

And second, many psychologists don't have training in behavior analysis, so they would be supervising someone that they don't have any knowledge around, right? It's true.

[laughs] So those are, like, pretty big concerns, right? And so TX ABA worked with ABAI and asked for behavior analysis not to be included under this, under the supervision because it made, it made BCPAs really uncomfortable.

And it actually, behavior analysis did fall under psychology in the '90s, but they never did anything about it.

So they were always worried that it was coming down the line that psychologists- Mm-hmm ... would be supervising them.

Maybe you're in Idaho and you're like-

... "We gotta get on this," to, to get started there, and then both APBA and ABAI have resources available as well for-

So when it comes to Abaya, Abaya wasn't happy.

Abai says, no, I never meant to ask whether you can cook liver.

I know that you can cook liver.

Why did I know you can cook liver? Because even if you're going to hold that dam, a vodim, shepedash from the liver is considered dam.

But it itself will not become acer.

The Mishnah says, Look inside Rashi, the second to last line of the Ammit.

and now she adds and the bottom to Isis goes back into the whole back and forth to Isis doesn't like this concept that there's even a Havamina that Abai didn't have to know and therefore he wonders why did Rab Safra wake up to tell him it's a Mishnah now why didn't he tell him a Mishnah right away and look inside to Isis bottom line is is that he didn't understand why Rab Safra didn't understand why Abai needed to consult when it's a Mishnah The Mishnah says that if you cook liver with other meats, it assers the other meats.

So Abai says, you don't understand that Mishnah.
