He has received three Lifetime Achievement Awards, the American Political Science Association's John Goss Award.

the International Public Management Association's Warner W. Stockburger Achievement Award for Human Resources, and the American Society for Public Administration's Donald C.

Stone Award.

Dr. Kettle has consulted for government organizations at all levels, including most recently the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

It's currently based at Texas State University and the Hobby Center for Public Service Program.

They decided to get together along with the Central Texas chapter of ASPA, the American Society for Public Administration, and have an award.

And so I was proud to hand over the 10 traits to them and let them run the awards program.

But I think my final contribution to that effort was suggesting the name.

Yeah.

And that is one of the things that through the organizations on with ASPA, ICMA, NFBPA, that we try to project.

There's a lot of kids today that don't know what a city manager is, don't know that public administration is the is the from from the garbage collector to the secretary to the department head to the city manager, all public administrative positions.

Yes.

So I said, this will give me what I need to do because I also want to write a book.

So I'm in the process of writing a book more about professional development.

Almost this life story you're hearing now is going to be the book along with serving in ASPA, ICMA and And Napa and New Jersey municipalities and that whole networking and how that network got me to each different level of each different job that I that I had in different assignment in life.

And and then along comes a call from the mayor of the city of Long Branch because I'm thinking I'm good.
