I actually applied to Allagash and, um, they, I went and did an interview with them, and those, those guys never called me back.

But, uh, it's all good.

Uh, you know, my, my path went a different way, and I'm grateful for that.

And Allagash still makes amazing beers that I-

They do

Uh, they'll have a, a Road to Fame, an Off-Book Bramble, like a whole bunch of really fun, unique kinda drinks, along with wine and beers.

And the beers are all from the Atlantic coast, so they have things from like Dogfish Head and Allagash and stuff like that to try to tie into the theme of the Atlantic, uh, Boardwalk.

Um, I don't know, it just seemed like really kinda interesting and something different.

And like I said, it's not in a park, so we're gonna have like three non-park days when we're down there.

So that's my only real superlative.

Uh, I do have an, an honorable mention, uh, which I would say is the Allagash Haunted House Black IPA from America.

Honorable mention beer.

I thought it was very unique.

I never had an Allagash that wasn't the Allagash White.

Uh, I think that's a really popular-

Like, if you like a Blue Moon but you wanna branch out-

The second is a Sam Adams Brick Red Irish Ale, red ale, made in Boston, obviously.

And then Allagash Brewing Company Haunted House Hoppy Dark Ale, made in Portland, Maine.

So they're all Northeast beers.

Um, I...

As a state, Maine punches well above its weight in craft beer world, and Oxbow is in great company.

A few others worth knowing are Allagash Brewing Company, Maine Beer Company, Bissell Brothers Brewing, and Gleary Brewing.

Opened in Portland in 1986, it's one of the oldest craft breweries in New England.

Wow, that is well done.

Then it became Foundation.

It's right across the street from Allagash.

Allagash was already there.

And my brother and I, I was a home brewer.

I didn't really know what the hell I was doing at a scale.

I know how to make little batches.

But I can't tell you the number of times that people from Allagash would walk across the street, or I'd walk across the street to Allagash, and they would help us.

Whether it was just a general scientific question, or it was, shit, we ran out of ingredients, can we borrow some? And the answer was always yes.

Obviously, Saison DuPont, Hill Farmstead, some Lost Abbey, some Blind Pig, some Pliny, some West Mala.

What else we got in here? Goodness gracious, some Allagash, BFM, Classic Swiss Brewery, Chimay, Bone Goo, Crooked Stave, Choufou Blanc, Dodola, DeHalvemane, Juanette, Fanta Flora, more Hill Farmstead, more Lost Abbey, Rodenbach, STS Pills, why not, and some Straff Hendrick, some beer from Bruges, and just more of the same coming up next, just some killer beers on draft there.

Can't beat it.
