Carriers, we have heard that from many, many of the trade groups in recent days.

Despite a slight dip in recent days, though, the national average for a gallon of diesel, it's still up 12 cents from a week ago, according to AAA.

And I realize we're recording a little bit earlier this week in advance of when all of you are listening and seeing this.

But as of September 16th, anyway, the fuel price based on the Airlines for America uses, they have on their website, they publish daily update on jet fuel prices.

September 16th figure was $4.63 a gallon.

That was up from South, I'm just using Southwest numbers.

That's up from 34.6 in 2024.

And then the Cruise Lines International Association, it sounds like IATA, or A4A, sounds like a lobbying group, they forecast that the passenger volume will climb to 42 million.

The sector generates well over $150 billion annually in global economic impact and supports more than 1.5 million jobs worldwide.

And this is really interesting.

This is up from $72 in early June and $62 at the beginning of the year before the war.

Now let's look specifically at our industry at jet fuel.

So we have this graph from A4A, which is Airlines for America.

It's a domestic lobbying group for the big airlines.

And I think oftentimes that's how we, you know, as charter and operators, you know, we s- we look at, at airlines to say, "Okay, that's how they did it.

How do we do it?" I mean, so Airlines for America is the closest thing that you're suggesting here.

I mean, is A4A?

Uh.

But as you said, there may be relief.

Airlines for America laid its prices on a graph that we can analyze.

Drew, this was awesome.

This graph is really cool-

The jet fuel has risen by 73%, but the price of a ticket only has risen about 20%, 17 to 20%.

So airlines are doing what they can to keep these costs low so that we can maintain these healthy load factors and make a profit.

The CEO of Airlines for America, Chris Hinunu, expec- expects price increases to stabilize, saying prices have increased 20%, but he, quote, "Doesn't think it's going to go up anymore," unquote.

He told News Nation, "I don't think you're going to see prices go up significantly.

Early on, it was at least twice a year.

They got to be about once a year where, you know, we'd all, the CEOs would all be in or, you know, an A4A meeting and we'd go over and have a briefing with TSA and Homeland Security and, you know, leave all your phones outside in a locker and, you know, top secret briefing.

And we'd get told these, you know, consistently.

Those people still exist.

I had 258 airmen plus their families under my charge in support of 12,000 soldiers, the 1st Cav Division out there at Fort Hood, Texas, and had a pretty successful tour, which led to some time at the Pentagon on the air staff up there.

The chief staff of the Air Force put me in charge of the Air Crew Crisis Task Force, which was an awesome experience working on production, absorption, and retention issues for the Air Force, hand-in-glove with the All the major airlines and their lobbyist firm, Airlines for America, gave me a chance to work on Capitol Hill and try to, you know, work with Congress to get some things done for the Air Force.

And the Air Force decided to send me to the National War College while I was up there.

Professional military education where I got a master's in national security strategy.
