S
3:29Susan BourgeoisGUEST
... administration, you know, Governor Landry told us on day one, everyone in his cabinet, there was a sense of urgency to change Louisiana's outcomes.
S
3:37Susan BourgeoisGUEST
So we've done everything with that same sense of urgency, and it's, it's a good thing that we do because when you, you get to engage with a company like SpaceX and the Elon Musk company, frankly-
D
3:49Dee MartinHOST
Yeah
S
3:49Susan BourgeoisGUEST
... with that sense of urgency, so, so philosophically, it's how we do everything.
S
4:10Susan BourgeoisGUEST
That's exactly... [laughs] Very good point, Dee.
D
4:12Dee MartinHOST
Yeah, yeah.
S
4:13Susan BourgeoisGUEST
Um, so the phone call on Thursday was simply that some senior-level executives with the company needed to have a Zoom with, with me as secretary and, and Paige Carter, our chief business development officer, the next day.

Think L'Oréal, Total Energies, LVMH, Air Liquide, these firms are viewed as less exposed to France's domestic fiscal and political risks.

And closer to home, the Swiss National Bank made headlines as well.
Is France just the hors d'oeuvre?
F
7:55Frank JackmanPANELIST
Pretty solid credit there.
F
7:57Frank JackmanPANELIST
We had Air Liquide, which, yes, it's a French company, but it has operations in over 70 countries.
F
8:04Frank JackmanPANELIST
countries worldwide is pretty diverse and then we had um gd towers which is a german mobile phone tower operator again a pretty solid type of credit i think at the moment and today pepsi which um i'm just having a look around my room i can see some empty cans of pepsi there it's a pretty pretty well-known credit i would say i think it's one that you're not going to have to try and get a special line put in place to convince your your manager to let you buy.
F
8:35Frank JackmanPANELIST
So I think the credits we're seeing, we're not seeing any risky or hairy ones.
F
10:27Frank JackmanPANELIST
So they priced the deal originally on Tuesday and I looked up the secondary spreads on Thursday and actually...
F
10:36Frank JackmanPANELIST
There was maybe 29 basis points between them.
F
10:39Frank JackmanPANELIST
So it actually, the Air Liquide deal had tightened.
F
10:42Frank JackmanPANELIST
So it was trading inside OATs by an even larger margin.

M

M
0:31Martin CreamerNARRATOR
While the summit was being told that South Africa's Just Energy Transition Investment Plan Programme Management Office at the Industrial Development Corporation, had identified 24 hydrogen projects, the Hydrogen Council co-chairperson and Air Liquide CEO, Francois Jacot, was advising the world to bring hydrogen to scale, while simultaneously pointing out that the energy issues triggered by the conflict in the Middle East had reminded all of us that energy security is a vital priority.
M
1:00Martin CreamerNARRATOR
While the climate topic, underscored by the latest Northern Hemisphere heat wave, was still a significant hydrogen promoter, it was appropriate that the decarbonisation threat now be joined by the state of the world, sovereignty, energy security, supply resilience, industrial competitiveness, energy strategy, and electrification, which had become the additional strategic imperatives.
M

Clearly, hydrogen had a key role to play, Jackow explained during a Global Hydrogen Compass 2026 webinar covered by Mining Weekly.
