... wo das Thema Postscript ja ganz wichtig wurde.

Und dann haben wir, ähm, also ich war zuvor noch in der Technologievermarktung bei Agfa und ich hab dann tatsächlich, wenn's um das Thema Postscript-Belichter ging, Kunden von mir hingeschickt Und die haben dann auf dem Rückflug das Neueste geschrieben über PostScript und haben mir die Inhalte gegeben und wir haben mit denen zusammen über PostScript, ähm, äh, war der erste professionelle Anwender von QuarkXPress, haben wir einen PostScript-Newsletter produziert, der mit 100.000 Auflage in Deutschland verbreitet wurde über die, über die, die Macintosh-Zeitschriften, also nicht über die Druckfachzeitschriften.

Das war ein gigantischer Erfolg und insofern, ähm, k-kenn ich gut, dass damals ja schon durch, äh, die Beschäftigung mit dem Drucken die entscheidenden Basisentwicklungen nicht nur fürs Desktop-Publishing, sondern für die ganze Internettechnologie gef-getroffen wurden.

Und, äh, ich hatte neulich das Gespräch mit Jacob Isikowitz, dem, dem Mitgründer von XML, äh, der sagte, sie haben natürlich Anfang der 90er Jahre, genau in diesem Zeitraum, ähm, ähm, damals schon als, als Entwickler sich damit beschäftigt und haben diesen Bereich der künstlichen Intelligenz unterschätzt.

uh and it was yeah it was basically wandering around the house or family events or when we're on holidays you know just snapping away and then uh trying to convince mum and dad to take the uh the film up to the lab and get it um get it processed right dad was uh in the navy for many years and one of the things that i guess influenced me in a big way was he he had a camera he had a an SLR, not digital, all film.

I think it was an Agfa and I can't remember the details of it, but this was back in the 50s and 60s and he took it around his travels in the Navy and through Southeast Asia and other parts of Australia or whatever and we used to do slide nights which was a very 70s thing and you'd sit there looking at all these wonderful places and the photos that he took and you know things of his life in the Navy and you know also our holidays and various other bits and pieces and yeah it just sort of fascinated me in a way.

Then I guess By the time I got to high school where it was time to do art class, photography was a stream that you could follow in that class.

And so that sort of, they had a dark room.

And this was think back in the days of the 2000s when film was still around, but was being supplanted by digital.

And a lot of our exhibitors were in the film processing business, right? Kodak was one of our biggest, biggest exhibitors, Fujifilm, Agfa, people like that, who back in the day were name brands and now are less so.

And also we had the big camera distributors, Canon, Minolta, Nikon, Olympus.

And basically the industry changed and the association didn't is basically what happened.

Oh, and another another one I watched off my my personal shelf, the Agfa release of Teenage Gang Debs, which is this sort of.

B-movie from the 1960s, like kind of a teenage panic movie about gangs in New York City.

It was a lot of fun.

And yeah, it's, it's done in that style.

I mean, I don't, I don't think a lot of these people had much of an acting background before, so it kind of felt like, I mean, it very much felt like a, a key text for John Waters, maybe like leading up to the movies that he would make with the, with the Dreamlanders, um, kind of that very, um, um, a certain way of reading lines that is very, very loud and kind of stilted, um, in a way that I've just have come to really appreciate mostly from watching his movies, but then going back and watching these, like I enjoy them more and I don't, they don't feel like as, as, um, I guess trashier disposable as I might've thought, like if I watched them 10 years ago, cause I can kind of see, I feel like he's shown me what he saw that was special about them.

Um, so that was a good, a good one and always fun to kind of check off an Agfa release.

So that was teenage gang Debs from 1966.

I will say that the drug freak short on there...

I don't know why Agfa did this.

I think it's a total...

It's just I just think it's a dumb move.

Ilford is still making film.

Addox, Foma, Agfa, Lucky.

And oftentimes you'll have boutique brands that will contract out to like Ilford or Foma to create custom, custom film stocks with their own branding.

Don't go for the hyped cameras.

What else do I have? This is a camera from the 1930s.

It's an Ansco Agfa.

And if you open up the back here, it says Agfa Ansco Corporation.

This was after the Ansco Corporation in America merged with the Agfa Corporation from Europe.

I believe I have that correct.

I might have the continent swapped there.

Uh, God, I'm missing one.

Oh, that was through Agfa.

It was, uh, the dirty dolls.

And, um, I thought for a second CB hustlers, but I'm thinking of CB mamas from, uh, but yeah, um, I, I haven't actually heard of this one before.

but I will say one I did pick up and will most likely be sold out this week because they've sold 1,200 as of when we were recording yesterday.

It's a 1500 print of the new Agfa title.

It's a reprint of Scary Movie, which was buying 16 for them.
